I’m back! It has been over two years since my last post, and a lot has changed during my hiatus.
Most of my time was spent consolidating my wife’s online presence. I merged her book site, blog, and publishing elements into one cohesive site: https://katarapatton.com. I am very happy with the results and now assist her with a monthly newsletter.
On the business front, I launched SiteCraft Studio, LLC (https://sitecraft-studio.com). Navigating the banking setup was more difficult than expected, and I had to adjust my pricing model twice to better suit small business owners and entrepreneurs, but things have finally settled. My main focus now is building a consistent pipeline of customers who need landing pages or web support.
Regarding this site, I moved away from DreamHost and settled on HostGator. My current hosting package included an extra slot, so I decided it was time to revive my personal blog. I even built this WordPress template from scratch. While it’s a bit more minimalist than my business site, it gives me a space to speak freely.
Moving forward, you can expect more frequent posts covering everything from whiskey and unemployment to politics and the realities of being “old and married” with a teenager.
